Description

1960s, Knickerbocker Pair of Campbell Chefs Advertising Dolls  (pmth)

For centuries rag dolls were made by mothers for their children. Commercially produced rag dolls were first introduced in the 1850s by English and American manufacturers. Although not as sophisticated as dolls made from other materials, rag dolls were loved, often a child’s first toy.

This is a cute pair of rag doll depicting a boy and girl in a beige Chef outfit. This was given away as promotional or advertising items. Each doll measures about 13 inches high and 8.5 inches wide. The pair is pretty much in good shape with normal age wear as shown in photos. The original label is intact and reads: The Campbell Kids, © Knickerbocker Toy Company, Inc., Middlesex, New Jersey, 08846, USA. The Campbell Kids is the trademark of the Campbell Soup Company.

This is a used item and it is being sold as is, as shown or as described.
