Handpainted, High End Set of 10pc Nesting Dolls- Russia’s Famous Poets and Authors (sft3z)

This is a 10-pc set wooden nesting dolls, made of wood with portrait quality and highly lacquered finish consisting of  ten most famous Poets and Authors in Russian History.  On the reverse of the dolls are painted Romantic scenes of the Russian countryside. On the bottom of the first doll, it is signed and dated by the artist that reads like:  Pycckne Limcateau xm 1999.  Measurement of each from biggest to smallest ranges from 10 ½ inches tall to ¾ inches tall and the name of the poets and authors are written down and this is summarized as follows:

The set is in very good vintage condition as shown in photos.  I’ not sure if I read the names right, trying to decipher what it is and I really need help on this. Packaged weight is about 3 lbs.
