1940-50s Ohio Art, Red Plaid 14-pc Child’s Tin Tea Set   (pmtt)

This is a rare, 14-pc child’s Tin Tea Set by Ohio Art, known as “Red Plaid” which features a blond girl with her blue chintz puppy within a red plaid background.  This was probably designed by Elaine Ends Hileman. The set includes the following:

1 Tray                      10in H, 8in W
2 Teapot w/ Lid        3in H, 3.75in W
1 Sugar Bowl            1.5in H, 3.25in W
1 Creamer                2.25in H, 1.75in W
3 Cups                     1.25in H, 2.75in W
3 Saucers                 2.75in in diameter
3 Dinner Plates        4.25in in diameter 




It is in very good vintage condition with minimal wear as shown in photos. It may have the usual age wear such as scratches, dents, discoloration, fading, surface rust, etc. common to this type of tea sets. The cups are marked: Ohio Art, with a symbol that was used during 1945-1950s. The 1998 Ohio Art Collectors Guide shows a 4-pc place setting with large pitcher on page 104, valued of $225.00. Package weight is less than 2 lbs.
