1940s Wolverine, Delft 4pc Child’s Tin Dishes   (J0521)

Wolverine Supply & Mfg. Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was established in 1903 by Benjamin F. Bain as tool and die operation. Wolverine agreed to tool a sand toy for a company that failed and Wolverine was left with tooling for sand toys. The company then developed an impressive line of Sandy Andy toys and a large line of housekeeping toys such as stoves, sinks, refrigerators, washing machines, cleaning sets, tea sets, salad sets and more.

This is a highly desirable  4-pc children’s dishes made of tin, by Wolverine. Delft Tea Set were popularly made during the 1940s. It is beautifully lithographed with a windmill and a Dutch couple. Dimensions of these pieces are summarized as follows:

2 Saucers                 3in in diameter
2 Plates                    4in  in diameter

It is in played with condition with normal wear such as dents, paint loss, surface rust, soiling and discoloration as shown in photos.
