Rare 1948 Child’s Wolverine Delft 2pc Bread Box  (T0521)

Wolverine Supply & Mfg. Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was established in 1903 by Benjamin F. Bain as tool and die operation. Wolverine agreed to tool a sand toy for a company that failed and Wolverine was left with tooling for sand toys. The company then developed an impressive line of Sandy Andy toys and a large line of housekeeping toys such as stoves, sinks, refrigerators, washing machines, cleaning sets, tea sets, salad sets and more.

This is a rare set of Wolverine Delft Bread Box and it measures 3 inches high and about 4.5 inches long.

It is in good condition with minimal wear as shown in photos.  It is marked: Wolverine, Made in USA. This set if complete with 3 canister set and bread box is worth $200-275.00. (1870-1970 Housekeeping Toys page 104)
