Vintage, Givenchy Silver Tone and Chunky Crystal Necklace and Dangling Earrings ( TO0625)

This is a beautiful silver tone necklace decorated with 7 large crystals as shown in photos. The adjustable necklace is about 16-20 inches long. The dangling crystal earrings are about 2 inches long. The necklace is marked Givenchy and symbol. The earrings are marked with 1980 Givenchy symbols. The necklace is in very good condition but one of the earrings have some wear or discoloration on the hook area.

Givenchy began producing gold jewelry in the 1970s with particularly strong presence in the 1980s. The brand’s jewelry, including gold pieces is known for its bold luxurious designs and is often associated with the “power dressing” aesthetic of that era. Givenchy signatures such as: Givenchy Paris New York or Givenchy are usually found on an oval plaque and those made between 1975-1980 will be dated. The 1980s saw a significant expansion of Givenchy’s jewelry line with bold gold pieces including the iconic 4G logo on earrings and chunky chain necklaces becoming popular. Vintage Givenchy jewelry particularly from the 1970’s and 1980’s, remains highly sought after by collectors and fashion enthusiasts today.
