SouthWestern Beaded Turquoise Necklace and Belt – Runway Jewelry

This is an unusual handcrafted necklace made of eight strands of organic beads and tiny brass balls, a combination style of a festoon and collar necklace. Some beads were dyed to look like natural turquoise. This beaded necklace measures 16 inches long and the swags hangs about 4 inches. The matching 8-strand or 3 inches wide beaded belt measures 24 inches long with a braided silk tie on both sides measuring 15 inches on each side. The total length of this belt is about 54 inches including ties. The necklace has 6 graduated bars and belt has 8 graduated bars that support the hanging or loopy beads and these bone bars are engraved with an ethnic geometric flow of circles and x’s. The necklace has an unusual clasp of a flat bead and a loop. The set is in very good condition, however, the belt’s braided silk tie on both ends need some work. This ethnic or tribal beaded set is probably south-western in origin, and could have been made during the early 1900.

This is a used item and it is being sold as is, as shown or as described.
