Rare 1948 Child’s Wolverine Delft 7-pc Canister Set   (pmttc)

Wolverine Supply & Mfg. Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was established in 1903 by Benjamin F. Bain as tool and die operation. Wolverine agreed to tool a sand toy for a company that failed and Wolverine was left with tooling for sand toys. The company then developed an impressive line of Sandy Andy toys and a large line of housekeeping toys such as stoves, sinks, refrigerators, washing machines, cleaning sets, tea sets, salad sets and more.

This is a rare set of Wolverine Delft Canister Set, consisting as follows:

    2-pc Flour Canister with lid         2.75in H, 3in in diameter
    2-pc Coffee Canister                  2.25in H, 2in in diameter
    2-pc Tea Canister                      2in H,  1.5in in diameter

All canisters are in very good vintage condition with minimal wear such as paint loss, surface rust, scratches, etc. as shown in photos. It is marked: Wolverine, Made in USA. This set if complete with the missing sugar canister and bread box is worth $200-275.00. (1870-1970 Housekeeping Toys page 104)
